My Best Kept Winter Secret

Okay, so I’m going to let you in on a little secret of mine – when temperatures drop WAYYYYY in to insanity level (I’m talking -10….-20… even *GULP* -40 with the windchill – remember last family day long weekend?!) I always go to what has become my hero coat from Parajumpers. Down-filled coats generally speaking aren’t sexy. They’re often bulky, heavy, stuffy and all around annoying. This one however, has changed the game in winter wear.

I bought my first-ever Parajumpers about 5 years ago on Montreal-based website, SSENSE, and when it arrived on my door step, I was forever changed. Not only is it incredibly chic (hellooooo waistline!), it also has a fill power rating of 730 (one of the highest levels of down you can get). In other words, it’s lightweight, sleek, AND breathable; so even on days where the temp fluctuates, you won’t be dying of heat wearing this either.

So I figured after five years it was time to gift myself an updated version. This PJ coat has all the fixings: waxed lambskin leather with padding, a drawstring hood with detachable fur trim, two pockets in front to keep your hands warm (or for your cell of course), two-way front zip AND underarm vents for cooling.

In other words: Winter, Bring. It. ON.
