Trend Watch: Puffed Sleeves

The 80’s are back, but this time it’s not the shoulder pad. Instead of the severe exaggerated silhouette, it’s a softer, more delicate amplified sleeve, and I must admit, I’m a fan.

Christian Siriano, Delpozo, Lanvin, Coach and Stella McCartney were just a few who jumped on the big sleeve for spring, and I have a feeling it’s going to be a big hit come wedding season.

I’ve always been drawn to unique silhouettes or interesting and unexpected details, which is why I quickly became obsessed with this dress. The off white cotton fabric is super cozy and lightweight, while the heart print and bow details makes it feminine. I also loved the rushing at the waist and down the side of the dress – it’s the perfect way to create an hourglass shape.
