Fall Trend Forecast
As you may have noticed on Instagram I’m currently traveling around Africa on safari. But just because I’m a few time zones away doesn’t mean that Fall trends aren’t hitting the shelves back home. Luckily, The Kit’s editor in chief Laura deCarufel hopped in the hot seat to share her insight on the trends you’re going to see all season long.
Utility Trend
The best way to rock this trend is to select a key piece, like this boiler suit, and then build around it. When looking for a jumpsuit make sure it doesn’t overwhelm your silhouette. This look might be about comfort, but you still need a shape! A cropped hem is perfect for show off fall’s amazing boots and accessorized with a trench tied in the back, this look is ready for the weekend.

The New Ladylike
If you look like you’ve just stepped out of a 1977 boardroom then you’ve nailed this trend. Start with a classic menswear piece, like this blazer in another one of the season’s hottest trends, plaid. Then layer in more feminine pieces like a pleated midi skirt and pussy bow blouse.

High Fashion Fleece
It’s soft, comfortable and totally fierce. Fleece is definitely here for Fall. Treat it like your favourite blazer and go for a monochromatic look.

Modern Goth
Wuthering Heights gets a modern makeover with the glam goth trend. Throw on a classic moto jacket for the perfect balance of pretty and edgy.
