Spring Fashion Guide with Michael Kors

Spring is finally upon us, and to celebrate, I thought I’d highlight some of my spring must have’s, all available right now, at Michael Kors.

Florals

The first sign of spring for most may be climbing temperatures or budding trees, but for me, it’s when spring prints like florals, grace the shopping mall walls. Prints are an easy way to inject colour and excitement in our wardrobes, and I love the silhouette of this carnation printed shift dress with a flared, ruffled hem. Add a wide belt to give it a mod look!

Polka Dots

Florals are synonymous with warmer weather, but polka dots this season are a close second. Try it out in a bold navy and white colour combo, in a breezy wrap dress with ruffle details for the ultimate work-to-after-work-cocktails OOTD.

Go Bold in Red

Each season, we see one colour shine bigger than the rest. This spring, it’s all about going BOLD in red! You can use this colour not only in your wardrobe, but also in striking accessories, like a great pair of shades, or a fab pair of platform sandals, even a carry-all crossbody!

A standout by far has to be this floral appliqué lace dress. I love the juxtaposition of the feminine lace details mixed with edgy studs – fit for any occasion, day or night, this sexy number is a sure hit.

Stripes

Another quintessential print for spring/summer hands down is stripes. Clean and cool best describes this well-rounded wardrobe classic. What’s fresh about it this season, is seeing it in varying fabrics and silhouettes.

That’s what I love about this chiffon mixed chevron striped dress. An update on the shirt dress, it features a placket that buttons from collar to hem, with puff sleeves that reads anything but conservative.

Eyelet

Eyelet is a combination of embroidery and cutwork techniques that creates intricate and beautiful details, making it a must-have for your spring/summer wardrobe.  Eyelet can be styled in a variety of ways, but one of my favourites is in a white cotton – it’s the perfect day dress for your next holiday.

No matter what you have your eye on this season, be sure to check out all Michael Kors has to offer, and happy spring shopping!
