Don’t Leave This Fabric Out In The Cold Any Longer
Corduroy has been getting a bad wrap since the end of the 90’s. But this season the distinct fabric pattern got a modern makeover, in all the best colours, styles and silhouettes. Think rich forest greens and cigarette pants! You might think that you have outgrown corduroy, but keep an open mind and you just might surprise yourself (and your closet) with the soft, comfortable and now chic trend.
1. Accessories
If you’re looking to dip your toe into the trend accessories are always the easiest way. Here a cross body bag in a rich hue adds a distinct flare to the outfit. The pants are a similar texture without the harsh lines (ie. velvet!) and another great way to achieve the look without going head-to-toe.
2. Skirt
Chanel some serious 70’s vibes with a corduroy skirt in a neutral. It’s high-waisted, A-line, below the knee and boasts a wonderful button front. If you’d prefer an equestrian look pair it with a cream turtleneck and a poncho, or transition the look from day to night with a sexy black sweater and ankle boots.
3. Jumper
This fitted dress is begging for an invite to all of the holiday parties in a stunning emerald green. For an evening out layer it over a sheer black blouse with oversized bow.
4. Suit
It’s hot pink. It’s menswear inspired. And it’s corduroy. This outfit is guaranteed to turn heads. Add a little bling and you’re sorted.
