Take A Walk On The Wild Side

Animal print never goes out of style.  And with typical colour palettes of blacks, whites and greys this “neutral” is easy to mix and match.  Luckily for us, this fall the staple is getting a wild makeover, with unexpected colours, silhouettes and prints ruling the fashion kingdom.

  1. Leopard Print

Is there any print more classic than leopard?  I’m a big fan of investing in matching separates, since it’s a great way to integrate pieces into your wardrobe.  This set is done in a silk, boyfriend cut so it’s great to dress up or dress down.  If you’re not ready for head-to-toe, there are great accessories (like earrings and shoes) that are great for a more subtle nod to the trend.  The best part of this particular palette is you can easily inject colour into the outfit.   Gem colours like cobalt, forest green and mustard look purr-fect.

2. Snakeskin

With a snakeskin jumpsuit the sky is the limit.  Adding a turtleneck is a great way to transition this piece into the cooler weather.  Adding your own statement belt (instead of the matching fabric belt) instantly upgrades the look.  This jumpsuit is just made for a pair of black, ankle booties you probably already have in your closet!

3.  Zebra

Not only is this print slightly more unexpected, so is the athleisure twist!  The white stripe on the pants not only complements the high-contrast print, it makes you look taller. And who doesn’t want that!  Switch the look up by pairing two animal print, like a red and black cheetah print sweater.

4.  Bright Colours

You’ll definitely stand out in your natural habitat with brightly coloured print!  This dress boasts so many of fall’s trends, deep V, cutouts, ruffles, so it’s worth the investment.   A look like this will pack an instant punch, from cocktail parties to weddings.
