These Trends Are The Perfect Foundation For Fall Footwear

While we might not be emotionally ready for Fall just yet, there is a silver lining to the change in season: NEW SHOES!  There are so many options that it’s hard to pick a favourite trend, so here are 3.

Trend 1: The Slouchy Boot
You might remember this trend from a few years ago.  Well it’s back and better than ever with new colours, varying heights and heel widths.  A power red ankle boot pairs perfectly with skinny jeans or faux leather pants while nothing quite says Fall like camel.  A pair of over-the-knee boots is the most versatile as you can wear them slouchy around the ankle or stretched above the knee.  The trend also pairs well with a boho style dress.

Trend 2: Fancy Flats
When it’s not appropriate to wear heels, let an embellished flat do the heavy lifting.  Slides or a sexy velvet loafer are perfect for transitional dressing.  Opt for an opulent brocade which pairs well with jewel tones (a Fall favourite!) or neutrals.

Trend 3: Python Print
A classic pump in a python print will instantly elevate your LBD.  If you keep the print to a neutral colour palette you can really go wild with the rest of your outfit.   If you’re still a little apprehensive try the trend in a comfy sneaker or an accessory like a bag.
