Ever wonder where we got the idea to wear leisure clothing to more formal events? Athleisure has been trending for a few years now across the fashion world and it all started with designer, Kim Jones. The men’s style director at Louis Vuitton started his own fashion line after graduating at Central St Martins and became notorious for putting athletic wear on the runway. He wanted to create “real” clothing for people; people who want to feel comfortable and still look fashionable. Jones says this is the way he dressed and it became natural for him to create fashionable, athletic clothing.

“I didn’t really think about it, I just did it. It was just what we wore, and what we liked. A guy can look good in a suit or a tracksuit.”
