Give Your Staples A Summer Makeover

We all have our favourite pair of denim or classic go-to tee, but if you’re rocking them in the same way season after season it can get a little stale. So I’m showing you how to update your favourite staples for Summer 2020.

Statement Sleeve

Pairing a lighter wash denim with a white tee is a classic look, but to breathe new life into your best jeans pair them with one of the season’s biggest trends (literally and figuratively) with a statement sleeve. This one embodies all of the trends with gorgeous billowy sleeves, off-the shoulder silhouette and tons of ruching. The floral print is also done in a neutral so you can easily mix and match with other items in your closet.

Neon Separates

You can’t talk about Summer 2020 without talking about neon. Pairing this stunning neon set with a t-shirt gives it more of a cool girl vibe than day at the office. The look is still elevated because it’s a suit but the casual tee almost dresses it down a little bit. And the best part about separates is you can always wear them together or with other pieces. Throw the blazer on for your next zoom meeting!

The ultimate 3 season staple is a denim jacket. To give it a modern twist add a figure-flattering wide-leg long short. Because of the length you can really style them up or down. Add a slide for example will elevate the look while keeping it casual. A little heel will go a long way.

Coloured Pant

The options are endless when it comes to updating your button up! Add a pop of colour in the pants and keep it fancy by adding a structured silhouette, like a white blazer, on top.
