Transitional Outfits So Hot You’ll Look Forward To Fall
The best way to keep the positive summer vibes going well into fall? Rethinking your favourite hot weather staples! Today I show you how to master the art of transitional dressing.
This stunning sun-kissed, satin tank is a summer essential. Keep that gold glow going in cooler temps by adding a turtleneck underneath in a thin-weight jersey stretch. Pairing it with rich jewel tones gives the whole look a stunning fall feel.
A shirt dress in a classic print like sear sucker gets so much mileage during the summer. Not only a great option to throw on when you’re running late but still needs to look chic, but it’s great for travel and can even do double duty as a bathing suit cover up. To transition this piece to Fall you can layer it over a turtleneck, this time you could even opt for wool because of it’s naturally looser fit. The key to bulkier layers is cinching the waist with a belt. That way your silhouette will stay crisp and clean without looking oversized. Faux leather leggings are also essential for transitional dressing.
Yes it’s okay to wear white after Labour Day. Retire the pastel stripe and opt for fall colours. Throw on a fab leather moto jacket for an instant edge. To keep it looking elevated (and weather appropriate) I paired the look with a sock boot instead of shoes or sandals.
Layer a cardigan over top of your slip dress (bonus point if it’s in the same colour palette) and cinch together with a utility belt which will no doubt be one of Fall’s hottest trends.
