Give Your Winter Staples a Spring Makeover

While emotionally we might be ready to retire all of our winter staples to the back of the closet, we all know better than to assume that Spring has fully arrived.  At this point in the season we’re also feeling fashion fatigue, styling the same pieces in the same way.  Well it’s time to break out of that rut! Today I’m showing you how to stylishly transition your favourite winter pieces into the warmer weather ahead.

Look 1: Checked blazer

This classic blazer in a boyfriend style has been such a big trend. And since this one is done in a neutral, it really is season-less. Change out your black turtleneck and pants, for lighter and brighter neutrals for your look to immediately read more Spring. I’ve paired it with a beautiful cream tee and wide-legged trouser, which are 2 pieces that will definitely get a lot of action all Spring long.

Look 2: Black Ankle Boots

These shoes have been on heavy rotation during the Winter, but that doesn’t mean you have to put them away.  When paired with a dress ankle boots are great for Coachella vibe or you can opt for a light wash denim.  Keep the lighter look with a cropped pink pastel sweatshirt, statement earring and a metallic moto, which is chic and season-less.

Look 3: Leather Pants

I love this pair of java coloured leather pants with a sheer organza top.  You can easily switch up the look by changing the colour of the tank top.  Don’t be afraid to inject some colour with periwinkle boot and a turquoise bag.

Look 4: Black Turtleneck

The black turtleneck gets an unexpected makeover when paired with a gorgeous neon pant. Keep it feeling Spring by layering with a vest instead of a jacket.  And of course, it’s time to show off that pedicure with a classic open-toed shoe.
