The Ultimate Guide To Outerwear

Investing is stylish outerwear is important for 2 major reasons.  The first is that it’s going to keep you warm, and the second it that during the cooler months it’s the major statement piece of every outfit.  That’s why I’m so excited to share some of my favourite options.  And bonus: a lot of these are designed right here in Canada.

Bomber

With the athleisure trend going strong it’s no surprise that the bomber jacket is especially popular this year.  Opt of a lighter fabric like organza to add fashion forward element to your next Zoom call. Vests are often the same silhouette as a bomber just without the sleeves, so it’s a great layering piece, especially for a cocoon shaped bomber in houndstooth plaid.

Textured

When I say textured I’m talking faux fur, shearling, sherpa and fleece (oh my!) Wearing any of these fabrics is so cozy, so elevated and so luxe. Try a combination of two textures together for a more dynamic look (like leather and shearling) or a get more back for your buck with a reversible look.

Puffer

An essential for Canadian winters and they also happen to come in every single colour and print. Bet you can’t buy just one!

Belted

Since winter is synonymous with thicker fabrics, it’s even more important to accentuate your silhouette.  And that’s exactly what a belted coat does best.
