Turn Up The Volume On Summer With These Prints

Summer and prints go hand in hand, just like summer and picnics or summer and patios!  So why not infuse some fun into your summer wardrobe with these classic prints.

Tie-Dye

Tie-dye can come across a little juvenile, so I want to show you how to elevate it. This sweater is an example of an oversized tie-dye, which means the print is a little more subtle. I wanted to keep the look athleisure-inspired, so instead of pairing it with a jogger or legging I opted for a high-rise leather culotte in Robin’s egg blue.

Polka Dot

Polka dot’s are a modern way to wear a print, and for this outfit we’re keeping it classic with a black and white polka dot skirt. This skirt can be dressed up with a sleeveless, shoulder-padded top.  In this outfit I wanted to the skirt as the focal point so I kept accessories clean and minimal. If you’re looking mix and match prints, start off with classic colour combinations and prints. This skirt pairs perfectly with a nautical-inspired striped shirt, in the classic black and white.

Gingham

Gingham looks ultra-luxe when it’s executed in a modern silhouettes. This cropped shirt also features a dramatic sleeve, one of the biggest trends of the season. If you’re looking to mix in an extra print, stripes are the best way to go. Stripes play well with others so it’s the perfect print when trying to layer prints for the first time.

Tropical Print

Tropical print is like the sexy, grown-up version of floral. This show-stopping, maxi-dress is a cotton-blend which means it’s super light weight and perfect for warmer days. It’s also a wrap-dress so you can adjust the v-neck to go as high (or low) as you want.
